The Solomon Code

Biblical Wisdom from the Wisest Man to Ever Live

In the Fall of 2013, I preached a series of messages called the Royal Way. Drawn from the life of King Solomon I discovered that Solomon was the one person who led God’s people on earth to truly get it. During his reign Heaven indeed touched earth. Kings and Queens travelled from afar and were amazed at what they witnessed. The Queen of Sheba was one these:

And when the queen of Sheba had seen all the wisdom of Solomon, the house that he had built, the food on his table, the seating of his servants, the service of his waiters and their apparel, his cupbearers, and his entryway by which he went up to the house of the Lord, there was no more spirit in her. Then she said to the king: “It was a true report which I heard in my own land about your words and your wisdom. However I did not believe the words until I came and saw with my own eyes; and indeed the half was not told me. Your wisdom and prosperity exceed the fame of which I heard. (1Kings 10:4-7)

I concluded these messages with a message on the wisdom of Solomon. During that particular message I shared with the people a spiritual discipline I have practiced in my Christian Life of reading he Psalms and Proverbs each day. The plan is simple. Whatever the day of the month is I read that number Psalm and then every thirtieth one. I also read the chapter of proverbs corresponding with the day of the month.

For example on the 10th day of the month I would read Psalms 10, 40, 70, 100, and 130. Plus I would read Proverbs 10. This enables you to read five Psalms each day and one chapter of Proverbs.

I challenged people to join me and read just the Proverbs for two months. I was surprised how many people took the challenge. Each week someone would contact me with a lesson they had learned and applied from the Proverbs.

The Solomon Code is a combination of skills and traits that are learned from the wisest man to ever live. The combination to this safe is available to any who will read and observe the Proverbs. I have chosen only four for our study

The four words are:

·      Vision

·      Diligence

·      Honor

·      Greed

I pray these studies will lead you to greater revelation in the knowledge of our Savior Jesus Christ and increased effectiveness in bringing Glory to His Name.
